Norths role in delivering basketball for senior players is to facilitate the joining of interested players into the competitions that are provided by Basketball ACT (BACT) in Canberra.
Basketball ACT offers competitions for all standards – whether you are just starting out with some friends, a top-line player looking to get involved in high level competition or a seasoned veteran – there is a place for you in basketball.
Norths enters teams in the following Basketball ACT competitions for seniors:
- Mixed (very social);
- Grade (social emphasis, various levels of play);
- Premier League (High level competition);
- Masters (aged 35+)
For Premier League there is the Winter Championship played between March to September. This is followed up with the Summer Open, played between October and December.
For all other grades, there are two seasons played each year - the Winter Championship (played from May to September) and the Summer League (played between October and April).
