ABOUT NORTHS BASKETBALL CLUB
Norths Basketball Club is a community basketball club based in Gungahlin, ACT. We run junior and senior basketball programs for players of all ages and abilities, from first-timers to experienced competitors.
OUR DEVELOPMENT PHILOSOPHY
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT
We support players at every stage — from learning the basics to competing at a high level. Structured competition and quality coaching help every player improve.
COACH DEVELOPMENT
Norths invests in its coaches through accreditation, mentoring and access to Basketball ACT development programs. Good coaching is central to good basketball.
COMMUNITY
Basketball should be enjoyable and accessible. We welcome players, families and volunteers who want to contribute positively to the Club and the broader Gungahlin community.
EQUALITY AND INCLUSION
Norths Basketball Club is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful and safe basketball environment.
We welcome players, coaches, team managers, volunteers, officials and families from all backgrounds. Everyone involved with Norths should have an equal opportunity to participate, contribute and develop within the Club.
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, vilification and other disrespectful behaviour are not acceptable. Everyone participating in Norths activities is expected to treat others fairly and behave in accordance with the Norths Code of Conduct and applicable Basketball ACT and Basketball Australia requirements.
Concerns should be raised initially with the appropriate coach or team manager where suitable. Matters that cannot be resolved at team level, or which would be inappropriate to raise at that level, should be submitted to the Club through the Contact Us form.
